As for many things Korean before I came to live in Seoul, I really didn’t know anything about Kimchi yet now I appreciate that if you want to understand the culture a bit more then you also need to understand Kimchi. As for the rest of Korean food, Kimchi is for sharing. Making Kimchi is a seasonal ritual that reinforces tradition and the social nature of Korean food. Hence the line “Do you Kimchi?” Kimchi is a way of life in South Korea.
