Seoul International Biomedical Conference 2022 to be held this September

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) will hold this year’s Seoul International Biomedical Conference (SIBC) on Thu, Sep. 29 in the auditorium of Seoul City Hall in seek of the biomedical industry’s future direction in the post-pandemic era. The conference has well established itself as a venue for sharing the future prospects of the biomedical industry over the course of six events since 2016 with an accumulated count of about 80 renowned speakers from home and abroad having participated online and offline as well as related companies and the general public. A few of the main speakers who participated in the last conference include Brian Seed (Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School), Erez Chimovitz (Senior Managing Director at OrbiMed, the world’s largest healthcare investment firm), and Dan Wang (Head of Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Asia Pacific). This year’s conference will be held in three session: session 1 will discuss the changes in the biomedical and healthcare industries in the post-pandemic era; session 2 will discuss the evolution of the digital revolution; and session 3 will be an in-depth discussion forum along with special lectures by renowned speakers. SIBC 2022 will also feature a side event called SIBC Demo Day for biomedical startups on the day of the conference where startups with less than seven years of experience in the biomedical field make pitches and engage in investor relations through public relations and investment attractions. Interested startups can sign up for SIBC Demo Day from Wed, Aug. 10 to Thu, Sep. 15. Investment consulting is also offered to startups with less than ten years of experience where they can receive customized one-on-one consultation from investment and startup experts. Interested startups can sign up from Wed, Aug. 10 to Thu, Sep. 8 by 6 PM, and 30 slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
