  • Epic Seoul Mountain Adventure! 끝내주는 서울 등산 모험

  • 活動 713
My friends, Marie, and I went on an epic hiking, day-drinking adventure in Seoul! We met up at Dongnimmun Station on Line 3, and proceeded to head up through Muak-dong, a neighborhood famous for their shaman temple grounds. The trail to Inwangsan mountain starts off in Muak-dong. It’s a fairly easy hike up the mountain, and we reached the summit in about an hour. There are great spots with amazing views overlooking Seoul city from this trail! Afterwards, we went downwards a little to the Seoul Fortress Wall, and followed it north up towards Buam-dong. Buam-dong is a famous little area northeast of the royal palace. They have many cafes, and specifically, there is the Sanmotunge cafe, which was a filming location for the famous Korean drama “Coffee Prince.” After visiting the cafe briefly, we ventured into a forest area not far from the cafe and hung out in the quiet shade of the trees and enjoyed some makgeolli (fermented rice wine). Marie was with us until this point, when she had to leave because of a business appointment. We all left after a few hours to go down back into the city, near Gyeongbokgung Station. In that area, we drank some beers while waiting for Marie to finish her business meeting. Once Marie met back up with us, we went up the street just a short distance to a very famous and very big samgyetang restaurant. Samgyetang is a chicken soup cooked with ginseng herb. It’s very tasty and healthy! And, after the long day of venturing around, hiking, drinking, and eating… we took a taxi back home. Please enjoy this video! It was a great time, and I can’t wait to have more with our crew (Marie, Mimsie, Min, Jay, Leo, Lily, and I). Great friends, great day, great adventure in Seoul!
